We’re proud to shine a spotlight on GRACE, sharing their inspiring journey and celebrating the remarkable impact they’re making in the community.
The History
Today, GRACE stands as a testament to the power of community collaboration, bringing together churches, businesses, and individuals to serve residents of Grapevine, Colleyville, and Southlake. From its humble beginnings as an emergency relief center, GRACE has expanded its services to include low-cost medical care, transitional housing, and comprehensive emergency assistance. This growth reflects not just an organization’s evolution, but a community’s unwavering commitment to supporting its most vulnerable members with dignity and compassion.
About GRACE
GRACE (founded 1987) began as a collaborative effort to centralize emergency assistance in northeast Tarrant County, Texas. Today, GRACE provides vital services including medical care, transitional housing, and emergency assistance, reflecting their commitment to supporting community members with dignity and compassion.
GRACE’s Mission
This vision manifested powerfully in fiscal year 2023 when GRACE reached an unprecedented milestone of 104,621 service units.
Yet behind this remarkable number lies a deeper story: each service represents a moment of hope–a family receiving nourishing food from the pantry, a patient getting vital medical care, a child wearing warm clothes to school, or a family keeping their lights on during tough times. Through their comprehensive Continuum of Care, GRACE demonstrates that true compassion isn’t just about meeting immediate needs; it’s about walking alongside community members on their journey toward self-sufficiency, one dignified interaction at a time.
Programs and Services
GRACE weaves together comprehensive support services that address both immediate needs and long-term stability. Through their Client Choice Food Pantry, Community Clinic, and Emergency Assistance program, they provide essential resources from groceries to healthcare for families in crisis. Their Mentorship Housing program creates pathways to independence through stable housing and intensive case management, while the Friends & Family program ensures seniors and disabled individuals remain connected to their community. Throughout the year, seasonal initiatives like Feed Our Kids, Back to School Supplies, and the Christmas Cottage provide timely support to families, reflecting GRACE’s commitment to uplifting their neighbors with dignity and practical assistance at every stage of need and through every season.
